To work out the shipping & handling fees reasonably and economically, our shipping rate is composed of two parts: Basic Postage & Item Postage.
1. Basic Postage: this is the starting / initial shipping & handling fee we charge for each order/parcel. Every order/parcel charges basic postage for only once no matter how many items ordered. The basic postage for different shipping method varies as below:
| SA post office ordinary parcel (to counter)
| SA post office speed service (to counter)
| International Courier (to Door)
2. Item Postage: this is the shipping fee we charge for each item ordered. According to each item's different weight and packing size, the item postage varies. The item postage is stated clearly on the information page of each item.
3. Examples of how the shipping rate works:
Example A: if you buy one item with item postage of R10, then your total shipping rate will be
R50+R10 = R60 for post office ordinary parcel service to counter;
R95+R10 = R105 for post office speed service to counter.
Example B: if you buy one item with item postage of R5 and another item with item postage of R10, then your total shipping rate will be
R50+R5+R10 = R65 for post office ordinary parcel service to counter;
R95+R5+R10 = R110 for post office speed service to counter.
Example C - International Courier (to door):
If the item can only be shipped from overseas as stated in the listing, you have to select "International Courier (to door)" as the shipping method. Post office ordinary parcel and speed service are only for domestic shipping.
If you buy one item with item postage of R135, then your total shipping rate will be
R150+R135 = R285 for International Courier Service to door.
For international courier to door, physical address (not po box, private bag or postnet box) and contact number have to be suppied.
As you can see, combined shipping of more than one item will save shipping fees greatly.
